School District in Maryland Publishes Per-Pupil Expenditure Data

July 3, 2020

Queen Anne’s County Public Schools have now published their per-pupil expenditure data on the Maryland School Report Card site. The data breaks down school-level spending data based on “the needs of students served in each school,” such as the number of students who live in low-income areas, have a disability, or is an English language learner, and how cost varies between experienced and novice teachers. “The Federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) requires all states to publish actual per-pupil expenditures, disaggregated by source of funds (federal and state/local) for all schools and school districts in the State.”
