“Intermediary Organizations” Play Important Role Informing Lawmakers

Michelle McLaughlin, president of Knowledge Alliance, authored a piece on the Brookings Institution’s Education Blog that discusses the role of “intermediary organizations” in providing lawmakers with evidence-based research when making education policy decisions. She notes, “honest brokers are needed who can work with stakeholders – in this case states, districts and schools – to translate evidence into local context.”
