ASHA Advises Members to Engage Their States on ESSA

ESSA will give members of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association “the opportunity to play an important role in providing information to the states as they develop their plans,” according to an analysis from ASHA. The association analyzed how ESSA will affect members in 11 specific areas, including professional learning, literacy, and early intervening services and assessments of children with disabilities.
