Illinois Report Card Celebrated by Peoria Public Schools Superintendent
November 16, 2020
A newly released Illinois School Report Card depicted impressive growth for one district’s programs in particular for the 2019-2020 school year. Peoria Public Schools Superintendent Sharon Desmoulin-Kherat took to the Journal Star to celebrate the fact that, prior to the pandemic, the district saw its highest ever participation in dual credit, advanced placement, and international baccalaureate courses, in addition to its highest ever participation in eleven various career and technical programs. Desmoulin-Kherat credited weekly review of school data by district officials for being able to target district wide improvements, highlight areas of success, and better empower parents, educators, and school leaders.
