Florida Launches New Report Cards
March 5, 2019
Jeffrey S. Solochek reports for the Tampa Bay Times that ESSA “placed several new requirements on states, to make it easier for parents to access and understand data about how their schools and districts are performing.” And this week, Florida delivered on part of these requirements when the state’s Department of Education introduced the EduData portal, its searchable website. However, the portal remains a “work in progress,” with state officials “asking users for feedback on what they find useful and difficult with the presentation, searchability, available data and other components.”
