February 14, 2017
The Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty and Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce sent a joint letter to the State Superintendent of Public Instruction, discussing concern over the lack of involvement by the state legislature when drafting the state’s ESSA implementation plan. The groups argued that, by failing to “follow state law,” Wisconsin could be exposed to “litigation and jeopardize hundreds of millions of dollars in federal funds for children attending Wisconsin’s schools.”
