South Carolina DOE Survey Gathers Public Feedback on Assessment Waiver
August 25, 2020
After having announced their intent to request a second waiver of federally-required standardized assessments, the South Carolina Department of Education has created a survey to collect public feedback on the move. Though required by ESSA, State Superintendent Molly Spearman said “it is critical that students, parents, educators and anyone with a vested interest in our state’s K-12 public education system take a moment to offer their feedback on South Carolina’s waiver from federally mandated assessments for the 2020-2021 school year.”
