LA Superintendents’ Advisory Council Calls for More Time to Discuss State’s ESSA Plan
February 17, 2017
The Superintendents’ Advisory Council urged Louisiana Superintendent John White to consider submitting the state’s ESSA plan for the September deadline. White’s rationale is that an April submission will allow changes to be put in place for the 2017-28 school year, but members of the Advisory Council argued that too much was still up in the air, and that they needed more time to discuss potential changes.
