Georgia School District Reaches New Academic Heights
November 4, 2019
Glynn County Schools in Georgia made “momentous gains on the recently released 2019 College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI).” The district outperformed state averages and, according to the Georgia Department of Education, received “the highest score ever recorded in Glynn County Schools history.” The district’s overall score was 83.7, up from 79.3 in the previous year, compared to the state average of 77.1, which declined marginally from 77.8 last year. The state’s CCRPI was redesigned and approved as part of Georgia’s state plan for the Every Student Succeeds Act, and includes five primary components: “Content Mastery, Progress, Closing Gaps, Readiness, and an additional component for high schools, Graduation Rate.”
