Education Week highlighted the release of the U.S. Dept. of Education’s new application for states to use as they put together their accountability plans under the Every Student Succeeds Act. The article takes a look at how the new template differs from the previous version crafted under the Obama administration, noting, “The biggest difference seems to be on the requirements for outreach to various groups of educators and advocates.” The Obama Administration’s template required stakeholder input, where the new template appears not to require it.
