A letter to the editor in the Topeka Capital Journal calls on “community members and teachers to get involved and gain leadership” as the state develops its ESSA implementation plan. Noting that policymakers must “look critically at all aspects… that influence learning,” the letter says they have an opportunity to “create an accountability system that will ensure the best learning for our students.”
