DE Dept. of Ed to Revamp School Profiles Website
October 19, 2017
The Delaware Department of Education seeks to “give its school profiles website a facelift,” and is looking for public input. Under ESSA, the state must hold public meetings during their development of school report cards, and the first in a series of such meetings was conducted on October 9. Public meetings will continue until midway through next year. “Guided conversations are occurring throughout the state in October regarding defining report card elements, determining priorities and understanding educational terminology,” says Alison May, spokeswoman for the Delaware Department of Education. “Starting in December the department will be holding focus groups and offering surveys for input regarding data visuals and navigation.”
