ESSA, Curriculum, and the “50 States of Education”

Jessica Campisi, writing for Education Dive, takes a look at the big education policy happenings in state legislatures across the nation as part of the “50 States of Education Policy” series. She reports that many state lawmakers are “looking to shift curriculum” as “educators continue to emphasize positive school culture and whole-child educational approaches” the focus on well-rounded curricula, adjustments will likely continue and include accountability measures in state ESSA plans such as “climate and culture metrics.”
