ND Legislature Proposes New Bill

Under ESSA, the North Dakota Legislature is proposing a new bill that would allow districts to submit plans to the Dept. of Public Instruction for “education innovation programs that reflect their schools’ individual needs.” According to the Bismarck Tribune, “the bill reflects a sentiment among area educators that control at the district level is important,” because it “gives those closest to the students the ability to decide what’s best for them.”
