AASA Says Dept. of Education Hasn’t Fully Addressed Concerns over Regulations

The School Superintendents Association (AASA) issued a statement on the Dept. of Education’s final ESSA accountability regulations. AASA argued the Dept. did not “fully address concerns” over regulations on the summative indicator. The group did, however, find that the final rulings were “much more closely aligned” with ESSA’s initial intent.
