States Begin Preparing Accountability System Plans Under ESSA

Education Week highlighted states preparing their accountability system plans under ESSA. The piece focused on K-12 officials who are concerned over the “relatively tight timeline for identifying schools that need fundamental overhauls.” States are working to develop these plans before the March or July 2017 deadline.
