Gov. Ige Announces New Task Force

Gov. Ige announced a new task force in April “comprised of educators, lawmakers and other stakeholders [to] develop a plan for new national requirements aimed at changing how Hawaii schools measure success and bringing the state in line with” ESSA. This week, Ige was criticized for excluding State Schools Superintendent Kathryn Matayoshi from the task force. Read more here and here.
