TEA and Education Commissioner Meet with Stakeholders on Implementation Options

Lauren Callahan, an information specialist with the Texas Education Agency, said TEA and Education Commissioner Mike Morath have “held, and will continue to hold, meetings with education service center directors, district superintendents and advisory committees about the various implementation options” Texas has under ESSA. Callahan said the state is currently focused on its fifth indicator and will begin discussions with its accountability advisory groups about n-size in January and February. Callahan indicated the state would have its plan completed and submitted by July.
