MS Dept. of Ed Approves State’s ESSA Plan

The Mississippi Board of Education voted to approve the state’s ESSA plan. The Mississippi Dept. of Education stated, “The plan will work to bridge the achievement gap between black and white students.” The Board will continue to accept public feedback on the plan until July 16.
