Memo Claims Wisconsin Superintendent for DPI Acted Alone on State’s ESSA Plan

Members of the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty released a memo criticizing the Wisconsin Superintendent for the Dept. of Public Instruction (DPI) for “acting alone” on ESSA. The memo argued that DPI is “making unilateral decisions” on the state’s plan with “very little consultation with Governor Walker and the legislature.”
