23 Groups Urge Dept. of Education to Reject “Super Subgroup” Proposal

A coalition of 23 education and civil rights groups, including the Colorado Children’s Campaign, the Colorado Latino Leadership, Advocacy and Research Organization, and DFER Colorado, successfully encouraged the Colorado Dept. of Education to reject a proposal that would have lumped students into “super subgroups” rather than report subgroup performance separately as required in ESSA.
