DE Gov. Applauds ESSA for Being an Opportunity for all Students

Former Delaware Governor Jack Markell authored an opinion piece in Education Week on opportunities for states under ESSA. Markell argued that ESSA is an “opportunity” not an ”inevitability.” He called for states to guarantee “students of color, foster children, English-language learners, students in poverty, and first-generation students” receive the “resources and attention they deserve.”
