Local Superintendent Discusses ESSA Implementation

Michael McCormick, superintendent of the Val Verde Public School District, spoke at The Atlantic’s annual Education Summit, noting he believes there is a tension in our education system between compliance and innovation as a result of ESSA. He also commented that he believes his state is ready for the challenge.
