State ESSA Plans Getting Personal(ized)

In T.H.E. Journal, Dian Schaffhauser discusses how, with the latest round of U.S. Dept. of Education feedback on state ESSA plans, new approaches for accountability are “sprouting out all over the country.” However, this may be occurring “without sufficient innovation,” at least according to a recent study from iNACOL. The report “shares state policy recommendations and resources for policymakers who are ready to rethink state accountability systems to support student-centered learning.”
