Seven GLOW School Districts Recognized by NAMM for Music Education Efforts

Seven school districts in the quad-county region of New York known as the GLOW region—comprising Genesee, Livingston, Orleans, and Wyoming Counties—were recognized by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation in its “Best Communities in Music Education school districts list.” The NAMM Foundation “recognizes and supports school districts and schools for their support and commitment to music education and for efforts to assure access to music for all students.” One superintendent said the distinction recognizes how his school district is “leading the way with learning opportunities as outlined in the Every Student Succeeds Act,” which “recommends music and the arts as important elements of a well-rounded education for all children.
