NY Hosts Public Forums on ESSA

New York’s Board of Cooperative Educational Services hosted two public forums on ESSA. Participants at the events praised the idea of giving school districts the “opportunity to pilot locally created assessments and to allow for more frequent assessments to inform instruction.” Attendees also endorsed the need for teacher professional development.
