Is Vector ARC the Better Alternative?

Justin Haskins, executive editor at The Heartland Institute, comments that under ESSA, schools have the option of using the ACT or SAT for their standardized testing. Alternatively, if the state chooses against their use of either, they are allowed to develop their own. Despite the cost, opponents to these tests have been developing their own test known as the Vector Assessment of Readiness for College (Vector ARC). The test claims to put heavier emphasis on “classical Western educational standards” than the ACT or SAT. Read more here.
