NTFAET Issues Recommendations on Assessment Systems under ESSA

The National Task Force on Assessment Education for Teachers issued a brief on defining assessment systems under ESSA. The group called for states and districts to understand how to “appropriately select, use, analyze, and communicate about the results” of student assessments. The brief can be used by states to “guide development of systems” that use testing measures “appropriately and equitably to support teaching and learning.”
