CCSSO Expresses Concerns over Timeline for State ESSA Plans

Council of Chief State School Officers executive director Chris Minnich expressed concerns over the interpreted timeline for accountability plans, Education Week reports. Many states will not be finalizing their accountability plans under ESSA until late in the 2016- 17 school year. This could mean that the 2017-18 school year may potentially be planned without knowledge of school status – disrupting the crucial planning process for school accountability measures. Read more here.
