AK’s Public Comment Period Ends Sept. 15

The Alaska Journal for Commerce reports that Alaskans’ last chance to comment on the state’s ESSA plan ends on September 15, “a month after Alaska’s education department published its draft plan for review.”

AK Submits ESSA Plan to Governor

The draft has been submitted to the Governor’s office for a 30 day review period, prior to the September 18th federal deadline. Public comment will be accepted until September 15th.

The Alaska Dept. of Education has submitted their final draft of the state’s ESSA plan – and is accepting public comment until September 15. However, the plan has also been sent to the governor, who has 30 days to review before final federal submission.
